George Harwood Limited Project Management

DEFINITION

Project Management might be defined as the discipline of Planning, Organising and Managing resources to facilitate the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives whilst being mindful of the preconceived project constraints such as scope, time and budget.
Modern Project Management techniques saw their birth in the 1950’s with the “Critical Path” and “Project Evaluation and Review Technique” methodologies being developed in the U.S.A, an improvement of the Gantt Charts earlier developed by Henry Gantt.
